What is a block poster?
A block poster is one large image divided across multiple ordinary sheets of paper, then trimmed and joined to form a single oversized print.
03 — PRINT
How to make a block poster
Upload a sharp image, choose your paper and grid, download the PDF, and print every page at Actual Size or 100%.
- 01
Choose a clear image
More source pixels produce cleaner details at wall size. The live resolution estimate warns when the image may look soft.
- 02
Match your paper
Use A4 in most countries or Letter in the US and Canada. Select the same paper in your printer dialog.
- 03
Keep a safe margin
Most home printers cannot reach the paper edge. Eight millimetres is a dependable starting point.
- 04
Print at 100%
Disable “Fit to page.” Automatic scaling is the most common reason adjacent sheets do not line up.
- 05
Trim, align, tape
Follow the coordinate labels. Trim the dashed edge, overlap matching artwork, and tape from the back.
04 — CALIBRATE
Make the first print count
A printer can silently shrink a page or reserve uneven borders. Download the calibration sheet, print it at 100%, and measure the marked line. The maker corrects the exported page scale from that measurement.

Block poster FAQ
Is this tool really free?
Yes. Single-poster PDF export is free, has no watermark, and requires no account.
Does my image leave my device?
No. Your browser decodes the image and builds the PDF locally. The tool has no image upload endpoint.
How many pages do I need?
Three sheets wide is a useful starting point. The tool calculates the required rows from your image shape, paper size, margin, and overlap.
Why do my pages not line up?
Check that both the tool and printer use the same paper size, print at Actual Size or 100%, and use the calibration sheet to detect printer scaling.
Can I use a phone photo?
Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP files work in current desktop and mobile browsers. A well-lit, high-resolution original prints best.
What does effective resolution mean?
It estimates how many source pixels cover each printed inch. Above 100 DPI usually looks good from normal wall-viewing distance; lower values can still suit bold graphics.
