TILED POSTER PDF MAKER

Make a tiled poster PDF from one image

Block Poster Maker turns one image into a multi-page PDF for printing a larger poster on ordinary paper. Choose your paper size and poster width, set a safe margin and optional overlap, then download numbered tiles with assembly guidance.

THE SHORT VERSION

Upload, set the grid, and download the tiled PDF

A tiled poster PDF is a single poster divided across several printable pages. Open the maker, upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image, choose A4 or US Letter, and set how many sheets wide the finished poster should be. The tool calculates the tile layout, then exports a PDF you can print, trim, and assemble.

Quick start: Open the maker, choose the paper loaded in your printer, set the poster width, and download the PDF. Print one page first at Actual Size or 100% to check the scale before printing the full set.

HOW IT WORKS

From source image to printable poster pages

  1. Choose the source image. Use a clear JPG, PNG, or WebP image with enough detail for the distance from which the finished poster will be viewed.
  2. Select paper and orientation. Choose A4 or US Letter and match the portrait or landscape setting to the paper in your printer.
  3. Set the poster grid. The sheets-wide setting controls the final width. The maker calculates the rows and total pages from the image shape and your settings.
  4. Choose margin and overlap. A safe margin helps avoid clipped artwork. Optional overlap repeats a strip of the image so neighboring tiles are easier to align.
  5. Download the PDF. Use the assembly page, page coordinates, trim marks, and overlap instruction to keep the tiles in order.
  6. Print at Actual Size or 100%. Select the matching paper size and turn off Fit to Page, Shrink, Expand, or other automatic scaling.
  7. Trim and assemble. Follow the coordinates, align the artwork, and tape the joins from the back on a flat surface.

SETTINGS THAT MATTER

Keep the exported tiles at the intended scale

The PDF can only be as accurate as the paper and print settings used with it. Select the same paper size in the maker, printer, and PDF viewer. Leave enough margin for the printer's unprintable edge, and use overlap when a repeated strip will make alignment easier. If exact scale matters, print the calibration sheet at 100% and measure its marked line before printing the rest.

For the general workflow, see the step-by-step block poster guide. If you are specifically using A4, the A4 printing guide covers margins, calibration, and page assembly in more detail.

FAQ

Tiled poster PDF questions

What is a tiled poster PDF maker?

It divides one image into printable pages and exports those pages as a PDF. You print the tiles on ordinary paper, then align and join them to make a larger poster.

How do I make a tiled poster PDF?

Upload an image, choose A4 or US Letter, set the number of sheets wide, review the margin and overlap, and download the PDF. Print every page at Actual Size or 100%.

Can I use A4 or US Letter paper?

Yes. Choose the paper size you have and use that same size in the printer and print dialog.

Why do my tiled PDF pages not line up?

Check that every page uses the same paper size and is printed at Actual Size or 100%. Automatic scaling can change the tile dimensions.
